"If I were Dangote's son..." and other excuses...

"If I were Dangote's son..."
"If I had a Bachelors Degree..."
"If I had a MacBook..."
"If I worked for General Electric..."
"If I had a million dollars in funding..."
"If I didn't have bow legs..."
"If I wasn't married..."
"If I had gotten a degree in Engineering..."
"If I had a car..."
"If I had a job..."

Well,

You're Olorunlomo's son...
You have an Ordinary National Diploma...
You have a five year old Compaq...
You work for a small business...
You only have fifty thousand naira in funding...
Your legs are nicely curved...
You're married, with six children...
Your degree is in Foreign Languages...
You neither have a car nor know how to drive...
You don't have a job.

It is what it is.

You can't wish it away or change it by mental exertion.

Now, get out there and do what you were going to do anyway. Who you are not or what you don't have should not stop you from striking out in the direction of your dreams.

Wishes aren't horses; beggars aren't going anywhere.

Fortune favors the bold.
